Travel Support Fund
(for Postgraduate Students from Developing Countries)
Eligibility

Applicants must submit at least one abstract for oral presentation at AsCA 2024 for consideration.

Open to currently enrolled graduate students.

Applicants must be from developing countries.

Priority is given to applicants from Asian countries (excluding Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Korea).

Support Details

Accommodation support is provided for four (4) nights from 2-5 December 2024.

Selection based on abstract submission and necessary supporting documents.
Application Materials​

Abstract ID provided upon abstract submission.

Ph.D. certificate or valid student ID.

Passport (valid for at least 6 months before the expiry date).

Support letter from supervisor or mentor.

One-page (A4 portrait) CV.

A proven track record in your respective fields through presentations or other scholarly activities (only relevant to Rising Star Awards applicants).

Selection Criteria
Due to limited funds, applications will be evaluated based on their novelty and relevance to the AsCA 2024 conference. Efforts will also be made to ensure a balance among applicants at different career stages.
The 18th Conference of the Asian Crystallographic Association (AsCA 2024) is pleased to provide support to those attending the conference.​

Rising Star Awards
Eligibility
-
Applicants must submit at least one abstract for oral presentation at AsCA 2024 for consideration.

Scientists under 40 years of age from Asian countries.
-
Applicants must be Early Career Researchers (within five years of completing their PhD).
-
Individuals with the title of senior researcher, associate professor, or higher are NOT eligible.

Applicants must demonstrate a proven track record in their respective fields through presentations or other scholarly activities.

Award Details

Cash award of USD$1000.
-
Certificate of recognition.
-
Opportunity to deliver a 15-minute talk during the Rising Star Session.
